Friends of the Library

We love donated books -- we accept anything you are willing to give! We receive donations of books, magazines, movies, recorded books and other items that donors think might be sold during our book sales. You cannot give us anything that is too old or tattered! These donations are critical to our success in supporting the library and we sincerely appreciate your generosity.

All donations can be taken inside the library to the area near the Information Desk (past the Circulation Desk). Handcarts are available for use for heavy boxes.

If you would like a donation form for tax purposes, they are available at the Circulation Desk and also through this link (pdf).

Friends of the Library members can now request a book at any time from the basement inventory through the GREAT (Graciously Requested, Enjoyed and Treasured Books) Program.

Requests can be made three ways:

• Fill out the request form at the Circulation Desk
• Email the Friends at LBookCellar@gmail.com
• Call the Circulation Desk with the request information

If the book title is available, you will be notified by email or phone that the book is available at the Circulation Desk.

Our inventory is very dynamic! Requests will be left open for three months if needed.

If you do not like the edition/condition of your requests, just ask us to return the books to our inventory. You are not required to purchase any of the books.
